About TierIncome

Most "passive income" sites sell the dream. We do something different: we sort every idea by how much capital you actually need to start, and we're honest about how passive each one really is.

How this site works

Every idea has the same structure: capital required, hours to set up, hours per week to maintain, time to first dollar, a passivity score (1–10), an interactive calculator, and an honest list of the tools we'd recommend.

You can browse by all ideas, by capital tier, by approach, or by region. Combinations work too, e.g., $100–1K ideas for EU residents.

The honest angle

Three things you won't see here:

  • "$10K/month while you sleep" headlines. Almost nothing genuinely produces income while you sleep until you've built it for 12+ months.
  • Hidden affiliate links. Every recommendation is disclosed; commission rates are visible on the tool itself.
  • Generic listicles. Each idea is a deep page — what works in 2026, what doesn't, real numbers, real action plans.

Editorial standards

Every idea page on TierIncome follows the same review process before it goes live, and the same review process when it gets updated.

  • Primary sources first. Pricing, fees, and program terms are pulled from each provider's published documentation, not from secondary blog posts. When a number changes, we update the page.
  • Independent recommendations. Affiliate relationships do not change which tools make the shortlist. Tools we use ourselves but cannot earn commission on are still listed when they're the right answer.
  • No pay-for-placement. Brands cannot buy a spot in a "Best of" list, a comparison, or any rank inside an idea page. Sponsored placements (when added) are visually labelled and use rel="sponsored".
  • Numbers, not vibes. Every claim about income potential, hours required, or capital needed is backed by either a public dataset, a calculator on the page itself, or a stated assumption you can audit.
  • Failure-cases included. Every idea page has a section on what goes wrong — concentration risk, churn, regulatory change, market saturation. We will not publish an income page that cannot answer "how does this fail?"
  • Update cadence. Time-sensitive pages (commissions, pricing, calculator defaults) are reviewed at least quarterly. The updated_at date on each page is when the last review happened, not when a typo was fixed.

Corrections & feedback

A page got something wrong? Email editor@tierincome.com with a link to the page and what's off. Corrections that change the substance of a recommendation are noted at the bottom of the page with the date.

Monetization

TierIncome makes money through affiliate commissions when you sign up for a tool we recommend, and (eventually) through a paid newsletter for higher-tier strategy. The free pages are the same depth either way — paid is for in-depth strategy and execution playbooks, not gated information.
